STRATEGIC PLAN: 2013-2017

 

  1. A.      BACKGROUND

Ghana University Sports Association was formed to be an umbrella organisation to organise sports competitions for students in universities in Ghana and to represent Ghana universities in international sports competitions. The work of the Association fits into the developmental agenda of member institutions, the nation and the international community. GUSA activities:

  1.  Increase the visibility of member institutions and increases interaction among member institutions.
  2. Fit into Ghana’s development agenda in terms of youth development and national integration.
  3. Promote regional integration and international peace.
  4. Extend the ideals of the Olympic Movement.

Vision

To have a vibrant Association that is highly regarded nationally and internationally in the development and promotion of sports and wellness in universities in Ghana.

Mission

GUSA offers interesting sporting activities for Ghana university students and provides opportunity for students to develop their talents in a variety of sports. The Association provides opportunity for interaction among students of universities as well as students from other universities in West Africa, Africa and the world.
